RAS meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month @ 7:30PM at the NCSU Vet School. Each meeting features a special speaker (usually local, sometimes from further away), a mini auction of fish, plants or other donations, as well as a round up of club business. Newcomers are welcome!

The full schedule of future and past events can be found on the Full Events Calendar.

RAS also has an active Facebook Group.

Got fish or plants for the silent auction?  Please print and bring this form with you.

Meeting Location and Directions

Regular (Thursday) meetings take place at the NCSU Vet School (directions below). Recently, we've begun experimenting with additional (occasional) meetings at the Hiberian Pub in Raleigh. Note that the Hiberian Pub has two locations; we meet at the Hiberian Pub on Falls of the Neuse Rd location. Meetings at the pub are more informal and allow for more chit-chat among members. We also have occasional speakers.

Directions to Vet School

Meetings are held in the South Theater of the NCSU Vet School Library.
Enter via the Library Lobby no later than 8:00 pm (the door may be locked after 8PM)
Entrance on map below "Main CVM entrance & Library"

Parking is available in the Visitor's lot that is across the street from the Emergency lot.  Please DO NOT use the Emergency lot.  As you enter the building there is the lobby and the reception desk on your left. Go past the reception desk and on your left, you will see the staircase to the lower level.  Take the staircase and go straight through 2 sets of doors. Continue straight (there will be student lockers on the left wall) and the South Theater will be on the right.

HiberNian Pub (Falls of The Neuse Road)

RAS hosts occasional gatherings and secondary meetings at the Hibernian Pub. The Hibernian provides us access to a private room, where we can order food and drinks off the menu as well as socialize with fellow RAS members. The Hibernian gatherings provide a less hectic venue for informal discussions. Our regular meetings generally have a full agenda, leaving little time for informal discussion. Recently, we have begun inviting outside speakers to give two talks: one at the regular meeting, and one a day earlier at the Hiberian. See the events calendar for specific upcoming events.

The Hibernian Pub is located on Falls of the Neuse Rd. Gatherings usually begin at 6:30, with talks (when scheduled) beginning around 7:30. Directions to the Hiberian can be found here.
