All goldfish shown must be privately owned by the registrant. Goldfish purchased at the show may be entered by the buyer if space is available or has been reserved. The goldfish owner must be present at the show.
Fish should be entered for the show between 2:00 and 5:30 PM on Friday, April 24, 2026. Limited exceptions may be made for early Saturday morning arrivals at the chairpersons’ discretion and must be confirmed in advance. No late entries permitted.
Goldfish measurement: size is determined by the total length of the body from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail. Goldfish will be measured at check-in and put into proper class and length by the goldfish show committee.
Goldfish identification: goldfish type is identified at the time of entry at the show. The owner of the fish is encouraged to consult with the goldfish committee on benching, however, the final decision on placement is at the judge’s discretion.
Provided show tanks are standard 20 gallon talls. Entrants should plan to show 2-4 small/medium fish or 1-2 large fish per tank.
Pre-registration is mandatory with a reservation fee of $15 per tank. Fees are due by March *****
For the health of your fish, it is encouraged that they are fasted for 3 days prior to transport to the show.
Fish must be on display for the duration of the show. Removal begins Saturday at 5:00pm, and all fish must be claimed and removed by 10:00am Sunday. RAS will not be responsible for fish not removed by this time. Fish are not to be removed without authorization of a show official.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet Saturday evening. Awards recipients and sponsors are encouraged to attend. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Any and all decisions of the judge and / or show chair will be final. Any contingencies not covered in these rules will be subject to the decision of the goldfish show chair.
